Large-format porcelain & slabs
Large-format, laid flat
Large-format porcelain tiles and slabs, from 600×1200 up to 3-metre bookmatched slabs, for floors, walls and bathrooms, set flat with minimal joints and clean, mitred edges.

Our approach
Big tiles, no room for error
The bigger the tile, the less forgiving it is. Large-format porcelain needs a flat substrate, full adhesive coverage and careful handling, or it will lip, crack or sound hollow.
We skim walls and level floors to take out any unevenness, to the flatness set by British Standard BS 5385 (within 3 mm under a 2-metre straightedge, or better for large format). Every tile is vibrated down for 100% adhesive coverage, with levelling systems keeping the joints flush.
We plan every cut so veins and joints line up across the room. On L-shapes and other difficult cuts we drill stress-relief holes at each corner first, so the tile has no weak point.
- All large formats, from 600×1200 to 3-metre slabs
- Bookmatched porcelain slabs and wall panels
- Floors running through open-plan rooms
- Bathrooms with continuous veining
- Kitchen floors and outdoor terraces

FAQ
Questions clients ask
Straight answers. For anything specific to your project, call 07842 424614 or send an enquiry.
Can you install large porcelain slabs up to 3 metres?
Yes. We install large-format porcelain tiles and slabs up to 3 metres on walls and floors, including bookmatched slabs, with the substrate preparation, handling and full-bed fixing they need.
Why do large tiles need a flat floor?
Large tiles can’t follow dips and humps, so any unevenness shows as lipping or hollow spots. We check and correct the substrate before tiling.
Can large-format porcelain go over underfloor heating?
Yes, with the right adhesive and an uncoupling membrane where needed. We plan both together.
